You might have read about Carseland, Alberta in our recent profile of Nutrien Family Members who stepped up to provide support during coronavirus lockdowns. There’s, even more, to learn about the town where this generous facility is located!
Carseland is large enough to be considered a hamlet of Alberta, Canada, with around 600 people living in the town center and surrounding area. You can find it as you travel along Highway 24 in Southern Alberta, near the Bow River. The Carseland community enjoys views of the expansive farmland around them, which is sure to provide beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The nearby Speargrass Golf Course is a beautiful spot to enjoy the weekend, and you can catch a ball game at the Millenium Ball Diamonds in the Spring.
The residents of Carseland are a tight-knit group, hosting activities and programs at their Recreational Center. Recently, Nutrien sponsored the building of a garden that brought them together to create raised planters. The garden will be free for use to the Carseland community. People started signing up for space in June 2020. We can’t wait to see what they grow there!
