Allan is located in west central Saskatchewan, Canada. Allan is about 60km southeast of Saskatoon.
The town was incorporated as a village in June of 1910. Allan officially became incorporated as a town in 1965. The town boasts a museum and local restaurants. Each year there are annual events such as “Day in the Park” in June, “Fall Supper” in October and the “Craft Show” in November. There are fun recreational facilities including a swimming pool, museum, hockey and curling arenas.
PotashCorp Allan Division has made a significant investment in the potash mine adding to its capacity and workforce.
The current population is 700. The most famous person to come out of Allan is Jared Cowen who currently plays for the Ottawa Senators of the NHL.
