Geismar is an unincorporated community in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. Geismar is at the heart of Louisiana’s chemical corridor.
Two of Louisiana’s top ranked schools, Dutchtown Primary/ Middle School and Dutchtown High School are located in Geismar. They are the only 2 schools in the community
Some of Geismar’s notable people include, Troy E. Brown, former member of the Louisiana State Senate; Eddie Lacy, former Green Bay and current Seattle Seahawks NFL running back; Landon Collins and Eric Reid of the NFL are also graduates from Dutchtown High School.
