Marseilles, Illinois

Marseilles, Illinois has an estimated population slightly above 5,000 and is located in LaSalle County, Illinois. In 1921 Nabisco built a cardboard box production plant.  At the time this was the largest industrial building in the entire state, outside of Chicago. Nabisco was the largest employer in the area until 2002. Marseilles is located less than 80 miles from the booming metropolis of Chicago.  Many natives of Marseilles commute to Chicago for shopping, dining and of course to see their favorite sports teams, The Cubs, The Bears and The Blackhawks.
