Where can you find the largest Oil Can in the world? The simple answer is Rocanville. The
Symons Oiler Factory which produced over 1 million oil cans during the Second World War,
erected the largest giant oil can to commemorate this feat.
Rocanville is also famous for the crop circles that were uncovered in the fall of 1996. This
discovery made national news that year.
With an official population of 869, the small area is steeped in history. Fort Esperance, an
archaeological site which is believed to contain the 18th century fur trade forts, was
named a National Historic Site of Canada.
