Sussex, New Brunswick is located in King’s County, New Brunswick. The town of Sussex is known a major dairy products producer. The town runs along the beautiful Kennebecasis River. One of Sussex’s most famous natives is 2010 Curling World Champion Melanie Robillard.

Sussex is home to Atlantic Canada’s Largest hot air balloon festival. The Atlantic International Balloon Fiesta is Sussex’s signature event, with over 40 balloons flying over the town twice daily and drawing crowds over 35,000. The Fiesta has been rated one of the Top Ten festivals in the Atlantic region.
Ginger Ale and Ice Cream
Sussex is the birthplace of Sussex Golden Ginger Ale, a popular maritime beverage. The popular ginger ale is owned by the Dr. Pepper Snapple group.
At one time it was believed that Sussex was the original birthplace of the Ice cream cone. Unfortunately, after extensive research, this has proven to be false. Guess you can’t have your ice cream and eat it too!
