Whether your December falls in a hot season like our Nutrien Family Members in the Southern Hemisphere, or you’re just tired of turning on the oven for baked goods during the hectic holidays, here are some tasty no-bake treats that will bring holiday cheer.
Loaded Christmas Bark
This delicious delight does require a short time on the stove to melt the delectable chocolate, but it’s basically foolproof!
Tailor the quantities of each of these ingredients to your liking! You just need enough chocolate to fill the spaces between all these crunchy, yummy bites!
Melted Chocolate, your choice of sweet or dark chocolate bars
White chocolate chips
Use parchment paper to line a baking sheet, then scatter half of your ingredients except for the chocolate. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the mix.
As the chocolate cools, use the rest of your ingredients to decorate the top of the poured chocolate. You can make a design or leave it random, that’s up to you! Once everything hardens in the baking sheet, it’s ready to eat!
No Bake Cheesecake
A whole cheesecake that’s no-bake? We almost don’t believe it! But once you taste how great this recipe is, you might just have a new favorite dessert!
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 graham cracker sheets pulverized to crumbs in a food processor or with rolling pin)
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoons brown sugar packed
7 Tablespoons butter melted
2 (8-oz.) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Place the graham cracker crumbs in a medium bowl and stir in the melted butter and sugar until well-mixed.
In a 9-inch spring form pan, press the mixture firmly to form the bottom of the pie crust and the sides. Cover with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes
For the filling: Using the paddle of a stand mixer, mix the cream cheese until it’s smooth, then slowly pour in the milk. Then, pour in the lemon juice, vanilla extract, and add the lemon zest. Beat the mixture until it is all combined.
Once filling is mixed, pour into the graham cracker crust.
Cover the cake with plastic wrap, then place it in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours
To serve, unclasp the spring on the spring form pan to remove the outer ring. Top with festive berries or jam. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
